This sale offers an excellent condition 12 Ga. Browning Superposed Lightning. The serial number, 62979 S6 puts the manufacture year at 1966. During the period between 1966 and 1970 Browning used salt in their wood drying process that caused a rusting problem where the wood came in contact with the receiver and barrels. Browning replaced numerous stocks and forends to alleviate the problem. I guarantee this to be a non-salt gun. With that behind us, now it’s on to the description of the gun. This gun, as stated above, is in excellent condition and appears to have been shot very little. It feels tight like one new out of the box. The ventilated rib barrels are 26 ½”, chambered for 2 ¾” shells and choked Mod and IC (** **-). The bluing shows no wear and the stock and forend are in pristine condition.
