Bulgarian Arsenal Model SLR-107R AK w/ Fostech Echo Trigger in 7.62x39mm w/ Sling, Box, Etc.
** MINTY LIKE-NEW! **
Description: This is a minty, like-new Bulgarian Arsenal Model SLR-107R AK-47 in 7.62x39mm that is fit with a Fostech Echo Trigger, and which comes complete with it's Bulgarian Army-issue factory sling, the factory 10 round magazine, and the original box with the manual and factory trigger inside it, etc. This Arsenal AK is in LIKE-NEW, minty condition, both inside and out! It shows ZERO wear to the exterior, and the internals are equally as pristine and free from wear as the exterior In our opinion, as well as a large majority of other AK aficionados, these Bulgarian-made, American-assembled/modified Arsenal AKs are the best AK model line-up currently being made today in every regard regardless of origin. These Arsenal AKs do have to go thru a rigid process to make them legal to sell in the United States. Arsenal AD in Bulgaria manufactures these guns initially as semi-auto only AKs in their top-of-the-line Bulgarian plant. All of the parts are made with the best materials, on the best equipment that can be had. The parts are then assembled, hand-fit, and finished by the most talented and meticulous AK armorers/gunsmiths you can find in that part of the world at the Bulgarian plant. Once completed, they are ready for export to the U.S. These AK's are then all shipped directly to Arsenal of Las Vegas, Nevada. Once they arrive at the Las Vegas Arsenal plant, these new guns are then remanufactured / rebuilt so as to meet all of the U.S.regulations (called 922(r) compliance regs.). These 922(r) regulations apply to all AK's built in a foreign country and limit how many foreign parts versus U.S.-made parts can be in them, as well as which parts exactly can be foreign or U.S.-made. The U.S. regulations list 20 specific parts used to build an AK, and to be legal in the U.S., each imported AK can only have 10 of these foreign-made parts on the list in them TOTAL, and ALL of the remaining parts have to have been made in the United States. The remanufactuing process at the Las Vegas plant is where the foreign parts in the gun are exchanged and fit with American-made parts to make them compliant and legal for sale. Because the gunsmiths at the Las Vegas plant are just as good as their Bulgarian counterparts, the end result is an AK EVERY BIT AS GOOD as it was when it left Bulgaria. This is proven by the fact that they are consistently the most reliable and accurate AK's in every test or review you will find, and the only AK's that ever surpass them in any regard are typically very-expensive and custom-made examples. Even then, they generally only rate higher in their aesthetics, usually due to having a more attractive gloss-blue or military-blue finish on them instead of the black enamel finish that Arsenal uses on all of their AKs. The reliability, accuracy, and functionality of the Arsenal AK model line-up chambered in the standard 7.62x39mm cartridge has certainly become the gold standard in the industry. This particular Arsenal Model, the "SLR-107R" AK, is the standard model from the Arsenal AD firm in Bulgaria, made from stamped sheetmetal, a fixed non-folding polymer stock set, a 16.33" inch barrel with a threaded muzzle, and has a standard 2-stage trigger group from the factory. It has had less than two mags fired thru it since new, one 30rd magazine fired thru it with the factory trigger, and one 30rd magazine fired thru it with the Fostech Echo AK trigger installed to function test it. Both mags were fired without any issue. For all intents and purposes this Arsenal AK and Fostech trigger is brand new. This is readily apparent when cycling the action or testing the trigger, as everything is still very tight. The binary trigger is pretty stiff but works as it is designed to. I've read and been told by people with first-hand experience that this stiffness will subside and the trigger pull weight will drop the more the gun is fired, as it breaks-in and all of the junctions where metal-to-metal contact occurs in the gun and trigger assembly polish each other to a slicker surface. If the new owner doesn't want to go thru the break-in period they can do the polishing themselves with some polishing compound and a rotary tool fit with a polishing drum. Also, if the purchaser would rather have the AK without the Fostech Echo Trigger, or if they live in a state where the Fostech Echo trigger is not legal, we will reinstall the factory trigger and reduce the price by $350, and we will keep the Fostech trigger. FOR THOSE UNFAMILIAR WITH WHAT THE FOSTECH ECHO AK TRIGGER IS: The Fostech Echo AK trigger is a drop-in 3-position "binary" or "echo' trigger assembly pack that retails for $550.00 dollars when ordered new from Fostech directly. I will explain it here as best I can, but a simple search online for Fostech AK Echo trigger will bring up videos and the manufacturers to read their description or watch a demonstration video. The trigger assembly is a drop-in part, possibly requiring very minimal fitting at most to install. Once installed, it replaces the standard AK safety lever on the right side of the receiver with a base plate and smaller sized lever. This new baseplate and lever has 3 positions, starting with "SAFE" at the top just like the normal safety on an AK. The "SAFE" position is 1st or the top-most position of the lever that works just like any other safety, preventing the gun from firing. In "SAFE" the AK will not fire no matter how hard you pull the trigger, or how hard the gun is dropped. The SAFE position also functions in another way that will be described shortly. The 2nd position, or middle position is the "ECHO FIRE" position, which allows the operator to fire the gun on BOTH the pull of the trigger rearward, AND, again on the release of the trigger forward. So each motion of your trigger finger, both pulling the trigger back, then by releasing the trigger forward, fires 1 shot, for a total of 2 shot fired for each complete cycle (one shot on the pull, one shot on the release). It is a double-tap machine in ECHO mode, and is particularly useful in shooting competitions where you shoot two shots per steel target while navigating a course for time. The person with the most hits in the shortest time wins. Having this trigger in your AK is a huge advantage in these kind of competitions. Center the target in your sights, pull the trigger all the way rearward and the gun fires while you remember to hold the trigger back at rear-most travel, keeping the trigger there, you get back on target as quickly as possible, then you release the trigger to fire the second shot on-target and everything resets. With a little practice, you can fire a full mag VERY quickly on-target with no problems, essentially completing a double-tap per each full cycle of the trigger. IF WHILE SHOOTING THE AK in "Echo" mode, you fire the first shot by pulling the trigger rearward, but DO NOT WANT TO FIRE THE SECOND SHOT ON THE RELEASE CYCLE for some reason, you simply keep the trigger held back in the rear-most position, while you use your thumb to flip the selector lever/safety lever upward, into the top-most "SAFE" position, and that cancels-out the shot on the release of the trigger. Once in "SAFE", ALWAYS remembering to keep the gun pointed in a safe direction, you can then release the trigger for it to reset in the forward-position without firing. Finally, The 3rd position, or the bottom-most position of the lever is the standard "FIRE" position, which works exactly the same as the normal factory trigger does when on "FIRE" on any other AK. The AK will fire one time with each cycle of the trigger, firing once when pulled to the rear, then released forward to reset for the next shot. ********* IMPORTANT ********* THESE FOSTECH ECHO TRIGGERS ARE NOT LEGAL IN THE FOLLOWING STATES: CA, CT, DC, FL, HI, IA, MD, NJ, NY, RI, and WA.!!!! If you live in one of these states where this trigger is NOT LEGAL, do not bother asking if we will send this AK with the Echo trigger to that state!!!! We will sell you this Arsenal AK, but ONLY with the factory trigger in it for $350 less than the listed price, a TOTAL of $1500 plus shipping of $45 to $60 (depending on how far you are from Lexington, Ky.). If you have been thinking of getting an AK for your collection as both an investment and shooter, this Arsenal SLR 107R wold be a superb choice. They are widely considered the best AK currently in-production, and while they are not collectible as of yet because they are still being made, that could change quickly with the political situation being what it is. As merntioned in the title, this Arsenal comes with complete with it's original box (not pictured), the manual, and one factory 20 round magazine (pictured in the gun). Also included is the original Arsenal factory trigger in the Fostech package. I'm not sure if I still have the manual to the Fostech trigger, but that can be printed off of the manufacturer's . For all intents and purposes, this one-owner Arsenal Model SLR-107R AK in 7.62x39mm caliber IS a NEW gun, with 99.9% of it's service life still intact. It would be EXTREMELY hard to upgrade from this one in any respect. The saying "you get what you pay for" is certainly true when it comes to these AKs!
