Description: These were made by N P Ames Springfield Mass. They made about 4,000 of these. They have 24 inch barrels with full length stocks and brass fixtures and a side action mechanism. It was loaded it by lifting a collar on the left side of the frame where you could put your shot. Unique. Overall wood shows some use. No visible cartouche. A repair near the breech.
