Antique TOWER Marked Pattern 1858 ARTILLERY Carbine Percussion .577 Enfield 1858 Dated 2-BAND .577 Caliber Carbine
Description: Antique TOWER Marked Pattern 1858 ARTILLERY Carbine Percussion .577 Enfield 1858 Dated 2-BAND .577 Caliber Carbine Here we present an antique British Tower Marked Pattern 1858 Percussion Artillery Carbine made in 1858 in Birmingham, England. This pattern was used by the British Military between 1856 into the 1870's. The Pattern 1853 family of percussion long arms that started with the “Enfield” Rifle Musket gave rise to a variety of specialty long arms, including the 21” barreled Pattern 1856 Cavalry Carbine with a captive rammer and the 24” barreled Artillery Carbine, which came in three variations which included the Pattern 1853, Pattern 1858 & Pattern 1861. The Artillery carbines were intended for troops that might have the need for a long arm but did not need to be encumbered with the weight and length of either the Pattern 1853 rifle-musket or the P1856, P1858 or P1860 rifles. The overall condition is very good. Patina throughout. The action is excellent. The bore is dim with good rifling. The stock shows much use and remains solid. The name “YEOMANS” is on the underside of the buttstock. Small patch at the toe. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 24 inches. Caliber: .577 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1800 #244173 Price: $1,800.00 Buy Now Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
