Description: Antique 19th Century Percussion Kentucky Style Tgt. Rifle “”Bigelow Offered here for sale is a newly acquired beautiful restoration of an original 19th century Kentucky style target rifle with barrel marked “M. Bigelow”. This beautifully long specimen measures approximately 50.5” overall with a long 36 inch octagon barrel. Approximately 40 caliber. The lock on this rifle is marked “J.P Moore-Warranted” and the long arm is finished in the beautiful curly maple style embellishment. When acquired the long octagon barrel had been buffed of any finish. Our inhouse gunsmith had applied a dark finish to the metal making this more attractive for display. The original stock is very sound and has a beautiful patchbox and a German silver inlay in it. Quite striking. Thanks for your bid.
