"Unusual German or Austrian Percussion Sporting Rifle.Unusual German or Austrian Sporting rifle with crossover “bent" stock for a right eye blind shooter. Caliber is approximately .55. Barrel length is 28" and 45" overall. Barrel marked on top flat “JNVW". Gun has adjustable set triggers. Trigger guard, buttplate and sideplate are brass with a beautiful untouched mellow patina. Action functions perfectly.  Special feature stocks for blind shooters have been made for a very long time but are seldom seen. This is a masterful job of stock bending and unlike modern day bent stock which are bent slightly to better accommodate a shooters physique this example is a radical offset that is normally attributed to a person blind in one eye. Very good plus overall condition.
