42 Cal English Hunting Flintlock Rifle manufactured by A. Fisher in Fulham, England
Description: This 42 caliber, half stocked, hunting flintlock rifle was manufactured by A. Fisher in Fulham, England in the 18th century. Fulham is located in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham in West London, England. This 7 pound, 6 ounce rifle has a 27.5” barrel which starts as octangle and transitions into 16 flats and, after a wedding band, becomes round. The barrel has a patent breech and is secured by two wedges. The touch hole is platinum lined. The rear sight is adjustable by a center screw. The barrel appears to have been refreshed (rebored and re-rifled) or relined because the bore is in great shape. The lock and other hardware show that they were handmade by an extremely skilled craftsman. The lock works well. The rear tip of the ramrod unscrews to expose a ball pulling screw. The rifle is shown below. Additional pictures can be had by asking. Cost is $2,650 plus the cost of shipping. A three-day non-firing, non-disassembly inspection period is provided and a refund minus shipping and cost will be made if the rifle isn’t as described and shown in the pictures. Ask for more pictures if needed. Price: $2,650.00 Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
