NEW MODEL EVANS SPORTING RIFLE IN 44 EVANS LONG CALIBER

Description:
30 inch barrel is marked “EVANS SPORTING RIFLE” and shows about 40% mottled finish turned brown thinning to gray. Very good bore is fairly bright with surfaces showing mild unevenness and strong rifling throughout. Has a fixed pinched blade front sight and a graduated folding leaf rear. The action shows 85% deep dark finish toned to brown with thinning on the edges and high points. The case colored lever and load through trapdoor buttplate show mostly a mottled brown gray with more vivid colors in protected areas. The Schnabel tipped walnut forearm has coarse wraparound checkering with a mother of pearl star  inlaid on each side and and mother of pearl shield on the bottom. The top section of the 2 piece walnut stock has mother of pearl Star inlaid on right and mother of pearl “Old Man in the Moon” inlays on both sides with the lower piece having an inset sling swivel and a mother of pearl diamond inlaid on the bottom near the toe. Comes with 12 fired cases made from 445 Super Mag brass & test target shot by this rifle.
