"Very Fine Norwegian Single Shot Target Rifle by Hans Larsen (AL9626)

Description:
"NSN. Made circa 1880s-1890s. Approximately 28 caliber with a 28" barrel. This gun has a fluted octagon barrel that has approximately 50% of the brown finish and patina. The top of the barrel is inlaid in silver “Olsen Masleng Askim" which is presumably the name of the original owner. The frame is factory engraved and nickel finish. The stock is nicely checkered and has a carved horn hand piece. The half Swiss style butt plate is cross hatch checkered. This is an unusual action designed by Hans Larsen who had numerous patents relating to firearms. This action is obviously based on the Norwegian Kammerlader which Mr. Larsen made a variety of them. Very Neat Norwegian Single Shot Rifle!
