TAKEDOWN FLINTLOCK Rifle Antique Henry TURNER of Albany NY New York .58 cal Very Handy, Rare Collapsible Rifle
Description: TAKEDOWN FLINTLOCK Rifle Antique Henry TURNER of Albany NY New York .58 cal Very Handy, Rare Collapsible Rifle Here we present an antique Takedown Flintlock Long Rifle by H. Turner & Co. of Albany, New York, made circa the early-19th Century. Henry Turner was active in Albany until at least 1823. Listed at both 15 & 3 Beaver Street. His wife was listed as a widow as of 1825. John Maynard listed as having worked for Henry. This rifle has a relatively short overall length compared to others of its day. When taken down the barrel assembly is the longest part at around 28”. To take apart, simply remove the rammer and slide the barrel wedge just to the rear of the separation in the stock. Full-length stock. .58 caliber rifled bore with many grooves. Large button released patchbox. Nice engraving on the lock. Very nice hand-checkering. The stock has a gentle slope along the back of the comb with a cheekrest on the left for a right-handed shooter. Sling swivels. Brass hardware. Iron ramrod with screw on the end. The overall condition is very good. Patinated throughout. The action is excellent. The bore is in good shape with many-grooved rifling. The stock is solid. There is a small split at the forestock near the muzzle that is stable. This is a rare example of a takedown flintlock long rifle that remains in superior condition. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 27-7/8 inches. Caliber: .58 Flintlock Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $3800 #228129 SOLD Antique: Yes |
