Rare Hessian Rev. War Jaeger Musketoon

Description:
SOLD A very rare Hessian Rev. War Jaeger musketoon with a 32" octagonal rifled barrel with a muzzle measurement of about .60 cal. and were cnsidered the most accurate muzzl loaders of their day. This fine musket may well have been made from 1730 to 1740 which was the golden age of German Jaeger Rifles. Tgis fine gun has a lock that works well, and the top barrel tang has an engraved number 2 , while the top tang of the brass fancy butt-plste has engraved the number 46. Most of the musketoons were issued to mounted officers as infantry usually had long muskets or rifles. Measurung overall 47" . I beleive that this is an important gun by the marings as the top pf the breech barrel are two inlet gold filled proofs. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost. We don’t have a web site .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in. I try to keep guns affordable, which means I make less money than most dealers. You won’t get altitude sickness, or nose bleed, with my prices! I consistently have the best selection of older guns If you attempt to buy, you must still contact us for details .
