Marlin Model 1894 - antique - Very Fine Takedown
Description: This is an exceptional Marlin model 1894. It is in high original factory condition. It is a takedown, chambered for the .25-20 - which was rare during this period, there was a depression, and the 25-20 was slow to sell during that time. It has a 24" round barrel with an excellent bore, with sharp lands and grooves, about a 9 on a 10 scale. The barrel seems like a heavy barrel with the small caliber - it measures .90 at the breech with a gradual taper to .65 at the muzzle. The takedown is very tight, the action is crisp and positive. There are great case colors, they are softening somewhat with slight fading, and turning to silver in higher wear areas. The wood is excellent, with just a few very minor impressions. Pics were taken in natural light and are the best description of condition. This is a very nice, and scarce little Marlin. *** It can ship directly to most places - a few, NJ, possibly others will require a FFL. I do require that the buyer is an adult, provides state D.L. and can legally own a firearm. Price includes shipping and full insurance *** Thank you Price: $5,900.00 Antique: Yes Rifle Caliber: .25-20 Winchester Manufacturer: Marlin Model: 1894 Serial Number: 172690 Barrel Length: 24 Condition: Excellent Bore Condition: excellent Contact Seller |
