Antique DUTCH Pattern 1815 “No. 2” .69 Caliber Rifled MILITARY Musket
PERCUSSION CONVERSION Musket w/SOCKET BAYONET
Description: Antique DUTCH Pattern 1815 “No. 2” .69 Caliber Rifled MILITARY Musket PERCUSSION CONVERSION Musket w/SOCKET BAYONET Here we present an antique Dutch Pattern 1815 Military “No. 2” Musket dated 1835. In outward appearance the Model 1815 was very similar to the French Year IX musket. It was built in two versions known as the “No. 1” and the “No. 2”, with the only difference being the length of the barrel. The “No. 1” had a barrel length of 44 inches, while the “No. 2” had a barrel length of 42-5/8 inches. These were used late in the Napoleonic Wars and were used at the Battle of Waterloo. These were updated to the percussion firing system circa 1841. By 1861 and the outbreak of the American Civil War, these would have been showing their age. When both North and South went to Europe seeking arms it must have sounded too good to be true that European militaries got to sell instead of scrap these old muskets. The overall condition is good. Original patina throughout. The action is excellent. The bore is in good condition with nice rifling. The stock shows lots of use and remains solid. The bayonet fits nicely. A scarce and great example of the Dutch rifle likely used during the American Civil War! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 42-5/8 inches. Caliber: .69 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1800 #228566 SOLD Antique: Yes |
