Hammer and lever as well as the crescent buttplate are a brown/gray color also. The barrel band screw is missing. Walnut stocks show some chips dings and handling marks as well as a crack on the left side of the wrist. Mechanically it functions fine. The 620k serial range shows it was made in 1907. A cleaning rod in the butt. A desirable carbine in a desirable caliber that looks like it has a story to tell.
