Synopsis: Super desirable Webley Fosbery 1903 revolver in the rarer target configuration. Description: Scarce Webley Fosbery M1903 Target revolver, cal .455 Webley, blued, with 7-3/8 in. barrel, front sight with brass bead insert, blade rear sight, ribbed marked “P WEBLEY & SON. LONDON & BIRMINGHAM.”, checkered trigger, usual self-cocking zig-zag mechanism. Levered top break release. Left side of top strap is marked “WEBLEY FOSBERY”; left side of frame has the Webley flying bullet logo followed by “.455 CORDITE”. Matching SN “2316” on right side of frame whose last few digits are repeated on the barrel lug and front of cylinder. Crown/BP & Crown/BV proofing on cylinder. On the left side of the frame is a thumb lever that, when engaged in the “up” position, exposes the “SAFE” marking. At the base of the frame is a rotatable lanyard ring. Fitted with checkered 2-pc hard rubber grips. Condition: VG+ original finish with wear and speckling as carefully imaged. VG grips with small chips at forward lips. Bright, near mirror bore.
