** SOLD ** P. Webley & Son Metro Police Revolver, M.P. Model, Cal. .450

Description:
Here is a very nice example of a P. Webley & Son M.P. (Metro Police) 6-shot revolver.  The gun is fitted with a 2 1/2 inch barrel, wrap around checkered walnut grips, grip butt mounted lanyard ring, is blue finished, and chambered in .450 Webley.  This particular Model was used by the London Metropolitan Police from 1883 to 1911.  This gun is in excellent original condition, retaining 50%+ of its orignal bright blue, with most loss due to flaking and some high edge wear.  The grips fit well and are in very good condition, with assorted pressure dents.  The bore is excellent and the action is tight and functions perfectly.  Gun is numbers matching (Frame to cylinder & barrel).  A very attractive looking gun, a real conversation piece with the short barrel.                        ANTIQUE FIREARM
