GREAT WAR 1915 British WEBLEY & SCOTT Mark V Revolver .45 ACP WWI C&R BRITISH MILITARY SERVICE SIDEARM
Description: GREAT WAR 1915 British WEBLEY & SCOTT Mark V Revolver .45 ACP WWI C&R BRITISH MILITARY SERVICE SIDEARM Here we present a C&R British Webley Mark V Double Action Revolver, made in Birmingham, England circa 1915. The Webley Revolver was the standard issue service revolver for the armed forces of the United Kingdom, the British Empire and the Commonwealth, from 1887 to 1970. This one was issued during the Great War. Similar to the Mk IV, but with wider cylinders to allow for the use of nitrocellulose propellant-based cartridges. The overall condition is good. Strong action, although there is a little play side to side in the lock up. Bright bore with nice rifling, though there is a bulged portion towards the middle. This would have originally been made in .455 Webley but the cylinder was altered to take .45 ACP in moon clips. Both grips are chipped but otherwise solid. Sharp markings. The left side holstering “wing” is slightly bent up. This example is littered with British proofs. “1915” dated frame and proofs. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4 inches. Caliber: .45 ACP Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1800 #226231 Price: $1,800.00 Buy Now Curio/Relic: Yes Contact Seller |
