1918 Dated WORLD WAR I Era British WEBLEY & SCOTT Mark VI .455 C&R Revolver British MILITARY Service Revolver through BOTH WARS
Description: 1918 Dated WORLD WAR I Era British WEBLEY & SCOTT Mark VI .455 C&R Revolver British MILITARY Service Revolver through BOTH WARS Here we present a C&R World War I Era British Webley & Scott Mark VI Revolver made in Birmingham, England circa 1918 with a total production of approximately 125,000 revolvers. The Webley Mark VI was officially adopted May 24, 1915 and produced between 1915 and 1923. It was initially intended as an officer’s close-in weapon during the seesaw trench warfare of World War I, however, it became the standard sidearm for British and Commonwealth troops for the duration of World War I. Though they were considered obsolete in favor of other arms during the 20s, they remained in service through and long past the Second World War and saw action during the conflict. This is a full-sized British military revolver that was originally chambered in .455 Webley but was converted to .45 ACP sometime later. It features a top-break design with an automatic star ejector. Numerous proofs are observed throughout. The overall condition is very good. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Both grips are in fine shape with light handing wear. Clear markings. The action is strong in both single and double. Nicely refinished. Mixed numbers. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 6 inches. Caliber: .45 ACP Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1795 #217517 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
