Bore is bright with shallow medford rifling visible, Wooden checkered grips show some minor dings and handling wear. The escutcheon plate is marked with ""A.P.B."" This revolver was used by Sir Major Alleyne Percival Boxall who was attached to the 1st Sussex Battery. He would serve in France and Belgium from 1916-1918 where he would be wounded in action. He would receive many awards during his time in combat. Action functions correctly.
