Winchester Model 1894 s/n 15147, “The World’s Most Interesting 1894”
Description: We’re proud to present to you a highly collectible piece: a restored Winchester Model 1894, serial number 15147, originally crafted in 1896 and brought back to its original splendor by Turnbull Restoration in 2014. For experienced Winchester collectors, this example will not disappoint. Chambered in .38-55 Winchester, this rifle is a showcase of rare special-order features and refinements that elevate it to museum-grade significance. Included with the rifle is a Winchester factory letter, detailing the rifle’s original build specifications and confirming its remarkable provenance. Among this rifle’s defining attributes is a unique array of special-order features that Winchester enthusiasts will immediately recognize as highly unusual—even more so when they’re all combined in one rifle. The 28-inch barrel is a rarity in itself (only 1,153 Model 1894s with this feature were ever made), but this particular piece is equipped with an extraordinary extra-heavy barrel.
