Smith & Wesson 25-5 6” 6 Shot 45 Colt Revolver Mfg. 1981-1982
These revolvers were produced starting in the late 1970s through the 1980s. A large double-action, built on Smith & Wesson’s N-Frame. They were known for excellent accuracy, especially with hand loaded ammunition. This is an early model with a pinned barrel, collector’s desirability. It retains all its original blue with only a tiny area on wear on the tip of the barrel. Overall, I would say the finish is excellent showing only a couple areas of light scratches. The bore is in excellent condition, bright and shiny with good rifling. The grips are the original checkered grips with the typical overall handling marks. One of the grips had a slight crack that was started and repaired. See the pictures, I do not see this affecting the integrity of the grips, but it is there, so I will leave that thought up to you. Being all original with great lock up and function, I would say this is a good one for the shootable collection.

These revolvers were produced starting in the late 1970s through the 1980s. A large double-action, built on Smith & Wesson’s N-Frame. They were known for excellent accuracy, especially with hand loaded ammunition. This is an early model with a pinned barrel, collector’s desirability. It retains all its original blue with only a tiny area on wear on the tip of the barrel. Overall, I would say the finish is excellent showing only a couple areas of light scratches. The bore is in excellent condition, bright and shiny with good rifling. The grips are the original checkered grips with the typical overall handling marks. One of the grips had a slight crack that was started and repaired. See the pictures, I do not see this affecting the integrity of the grips, but it is there, so I will leave that thought up to you. Being all original with great lock up and function, I would say this is a good one for the shootable collection.
