Smith & Wesson 4-Screw K .22 Masterpiece + 8-Inch Model 17-6 Full Lug Barrel
Description:
From a family collection: Smith & Wesson Circa 1957; Serial # K 310,6XX; K .22 Target Masterpiece; 4-Screw Sideplate Revolver; with a later (fraction under) 8-3/8 Inch Heavy, Pinned, Untapered, Full-Lug Barrel from a Later Model 17-6 (presumably). It has a Wide, Solid Serrated Rib; Windage & Elevation Click-Adjustable Target Rear Sight; 1/8-Inch-Wide Ramped, Pinned Partridge Front Sight. A Four-Line Address is on the Right Side of the Frame; Large S&W Monogram on the Sideplate; Serrated Front- and Backstrap. The Model 17-6 barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON” on the Left Side; “.22 LONG RIFLE CTG” on the Right Side. This Revolver has a Wide, Long-Spur, Deeply Checkered Hammer; Serrated Trigger with unmarked shoe; Frame-Mounted (fixed) Trigger Stop. The Bore is Bright and Sharp as best we can see with a flashlight; and the Chambers are Bright and Shiny. The Cylinder is Original K .22 with Recessed Chamber Rims and No Serial Number, which is correct for age. The Blued Finish shows little wear and shows honest, careful use & wear for age. The markings are quite sharp, and the tool marks from driving the barrel pin out and in make us think it has not been reblued. The Ambidextrous, Oversize, High-Grade, Matching Grain, Grips that Cover the Frontstrap look like Production-Grade Herrett’s. In our estimation, this revolver is better than any of the new K-22’s. Because it has a later-model barrel – and appears in such good condition (except for the tool marks) with little apparent wear - please refer to the photos to judge condition. And please ask any questions or request additional information before purchase as this item will be troublesome and costly to return owing to CA re-registration and other regulations. Any refunds will be minus our actual shipping cost and FFL fees (greater than $150) after buyer pays return shipping. The listed price Includes Insured Air Shipping from a CA FFL Dealer to yours. Payment is by Money Order, Bank (Certified) Check or Personal Check (held 2-3 days). We are the Estate Executor and Trustee, not a dealer, and cannot handle credit card or electronic payments. This item is subject to prior sale.
