Smith & Wesson Model 50, Chiefs Special Target .38 Special With Box
Description:
Smith & Wesson Model 50, Chiefs Special Target with box, tools, and papers. My research (which could be wrong) indicates that this revolver was built in 1973 as part of a special order of only 568 units. This rare Model 50 is equipped with a 2" ribbed barrel, adjustable target sights and checkered walnut magna grips. This revolver is in the original box with paperwork, minus the owners manual, and with the unused tool kit. It also has original numbers matching grips. It is in excellent condition with some minor wear that can be seen in the close ups. There is a small spot just behind the hammer that is the only real blemish. There are some tiny scratches on the cylinder from being left in a drawer. There is a faint cylinder ring due to the fact that, according to the original owner, he fired a few rounds when it was new. It was then put away in a drawer until I obtained it from my local gun shop.
These Model 50's are difficult to find, especially in this condition. Any Smith & Wesson collector would love this one.
