I hate to part with this one for three reasons... two being those two notches in the grip whichi indicates this piece has seen some action. The third reason being the name carved on the inside of the left grip panel which looks to be James Pafford? The cylinder timing is pretty tight with VERY slight play which does not impact firing. Bore just needs a cleaning. No pitting I can see. THIS GUN DOES REQUIRE MOON CLIPS and I don't recommend firing modern .45 ACP ammo thru it if you do intend to shoot it. The bluing is probably 50+ plus with the tone fading to a nice antique look rather than a harsher bare metal look. Overall, my opinion is that this would qualify as NRA "very good". I have had a lot of fun showing these grips to fellow collectors. A friend of mine has a Colt with 3 notches in the grip that he got direct from the WWI veteran in the 1960's. This was a common practice. Shipping is a flat 25.00 from my C&R unless you wish to have it from an FFL in which case it will be another 25.00 in additional cost. Venmo OK, Cashier's check/money orders otherwise. 1100.00 OBO
