Smith & Wesson .22/.32 Hand Ejector Standard Model 6-Inch Post-Bekeart
Description:
An unusual and sought-after Smith & Wesson I-Frame Revolver that comes up for sale infrequently: A Used .22/.32 Hand Ejector Standard Model (according to Fjestad); S&W later marketed these (after 1931) as their Heavy Target Model. It has the early 6-Inch Barrel; Round Butt I-Frame; and is .22 Long Rifle Caliber; 6 shots; on the .32 Caliber Frame; with a Sheard “TACOMA WASH” Front Sight and S&W Factory Windage and Elevation Adjustable Rear Target Sight. The front sight blade is slightly bent to the right. Serial # 224,9XX on the Frontstrap indicates pre-1923 date of manufacture; and the Flat Mainspring and Bekeart-Style Extended Grips that have Gold S&W Medallions and also cover the backstrap mark this as an early example. Only the first few-hundred were shipped to Bekeart – so this is a later production gun. The hammer and trigger are finely checkered, as are the walnut grips, with embellished borders and screw-escutcheon surroundings. Patent Dates, Barrel Markings, Small S&W Monogram on the Sideplate, and Serial Number on the Frontstrap are all sharp and correct. The Bore and Cylinders are in remarkably good condition – as is the blue finish. We are not dealers or experts, and estimate this revolver at approximately 95 – 98 Percent (or better) Condition. Please ask any questions or request additional information before purchase as this item will be troublesome and costly to return owing to CA re-registration and other regulations. Any refunds will be minus our actual shipping cost and FFL fees (greater than $150) after buyer pays return shipping. The listed price Includes Insured Air Shipping from a CA FFL Dealer to yours. Payment is by Money Order, Bank (Certified) Check or Personal Check (held 2-3 days). We are the Estate Executor and Trustee, not a dealer, and cannot handle credit card or electronic payments. This item is subject to prior sale.
