Scarce, Fine SMITH & WESSON .32-20 WCF HAND EJECTOR Revolver Winchester C&R One of S&W’s First Swing Out Cylinder Revolvers!
Description: Scarce, Fine SMITH & WESSON .32-20 WCF HAND EJECTOR Revolver Winchester C&R
One of S&W’s First Swing Out Cylinder Revolvers!
Here we present a C&R Smith & Wesson .32 S&W Hand Ejector First Model Revolver, made circa 1902 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Only a little more than 5,000 made. These were among the very first swing out cylinder revolvers. The next iteration would have a lug under the barrel for the cylinder pin to connect to. The patent dates on this example are 1884, 1889, 1895, 1896, and 1898. It features a 6-1/2 inch long round barrel. 6 shots of .32-20 WCF. These would have been a great companion to a Winchester Model 1892 in the same cartridge. Even by itself it would have made a nice sidearm for the outdoorsman. Some law enforcement would have also been interested in these as a sidearm as .32 caliber was not always seen as too little for the purpose in many jurisdictions.
The overall condition is very fine. Original blue and case colored finish. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action is excellent. The stocks are in fine shape. Numbers match. A great revolver in a favorite cartridge!
This item is classified as Curio & Relic.
Barrel is 6-1/2 inches.
