This is a very nice example of the S&W .32 caliber Model 1-1/2 Single Action top break Revolver. Standard 3 1/2" barrel with five-shot cylinder, bright nickel finish. It indexes well and locks up tight in battery. The grips are original hard rubber with no breaks chips or cracks. The .32 caliber Model 1-1/2 SA was produced from 1878-1892 with a total production of just over 97,000. The serial number is 8168. It was mf'd during the 1870's, but an exact date can be obtained by ordering a factory research letter from Smith and Wesson. Barrel has numerous patent dates ranging from 1865-1871. See photo.
The screws and pins are very good. 100% all matching numbers throughout, cylinder, barrel, barrel latch, and frame. . Bore is bright and shinny with sharp rifling. Barrel latch is tight. Ejector works properly. Very nice early cartrigde gun. This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped directly to you. Sold as an Antique ~ no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage.
