Smith & Wesson .38 Regulation Police, Cal. .38 S&W

Description:
The S&W .38 Regulation Police was made from 1917 to 1940, with 54,474 manufactured (serial number range 1 to 54474).  The 5-shot revolvers were fitted with a 4 inch barresl, checkered Walnut grips, fixed sights, built on a square butt grip frame, blue or nickel finished, and chambered in .38 S&W.  This 4-digit serial number (#3303, made approx. 1918-1920) Regulation Police is as described and is blue finished and fitted with Walnut grips with recessed S&W medallions.  The gun is all numbers matching (frame to cylinder and barrel) except for the grips (which are not numbered and have "PAT.  June 5, 1917" stamped onto the bottom of the left grip), which fit perfectly and the style of medallion is correct for the time of manufacture.
