S&W Model 29-3 Silhouette, 44 Magnum Revolver
SALE PENDING
Description:
The Smith & Wesson Model 29-3, Silhouette, .44 Magnum, single-action/double-action revolver is one of Smith & Wesson’s rarer versions of the famous Model 29, and it is the first variation of the 29 to feature a non-pinned barrel. This revolver
features a 10 5/8-inch barrel, fluted cylinder; grooved walnut grips,
target trigger (0.400-inch wide) with grooved face, target hammer (0.500-inch-wide spur) with checkered spur, S&W micrometer rear sight click adjustable for windage and elevation, and a quick-adjust front sight assembly with four settings corresponding with the four standard ranges of large bore pistol metallic silhouette shooting.
The gun has a three-screw configuration, with one screw (#3) under the grip.
The overall length of the gun is 16 ¼ inches. Its overall height is 6 inches. Its unloaded weight is 3 pounds, 3.8 ounces. Year of manufacture is between 1983 and 1987. There are no box, manual, papers, or accessories with this revolver.
The overall condition of this gun is 98+ percent. The barrel, inside and out, is in excellent condition. I would rate barrel at 99+ percent if not for the small amount of bluing wear on the left and right sides of the muzzle caused by drawing from a holster and the usual cylinder-lock ring. The rest of the bluing is without rust, scratches, mars or other blemishes. The grip panels are also in excellent condition - 98+ percent. There is one very small chip next to a couple small scratches on the bottom of the right grip panel. There are a couple more small scratches on the side of the right grip panel, about 1/3 the way up from the bottom. Otherwise, the grips are like new, showing no wear, other scratches. mars, or other blemishes.
The buyer pays $25 for USPS Priority mail and $26.30 for insurance.
Virginia buyers must pay 5.3% sales tax.
