City of Waco Texas Shipped Nickel Pre Model 29 Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum 4 Screw Case & Tools Awesome!

A factory letter accompanies this incredibly rare .44 Magnum confirming the desirable original nickel finish and detailing its original shipment as a single unit special order for the City of Waco Texas. The gun left the factory on February 9, 1960 and was billed at the wholesale price of $86.06. This wonderful N-frame is equipped with a 4” barrel, rare original nickel finish, original checkered Goncalo Alves diamond target stocks AKA ‘Cokes’, and full target accessories. The gun is complete in the clamshell display case with the unused cleaning kit. Knowledgable collectors are aware of the extreme rarity of early Nickel Pre Model 29’s; this having shipped to the City of Waco for law enforcement use makes it even more exciting. The gun retains most of the original nickel finish showing light holster wear primarily to the cylinder. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. Overall an exceptional and interesting early Texas shipped .44 Magnum that is a must own!
