**SOLD** 1980 Manufactured Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 chambered in .44 Magnum w/ 8 3/8" Barrel & Presentation Case ** Minty **
Description: This is an exceptionally clean Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 44 Magnum revolver manufactured in 1980. It is 100% original and has not been improved or modified in any way. This Model 29-2 featured an 8 3/8" pinned barrel, target hammer, target trigger, checkered walnut grips, and gloss blue finish. This particular Model 29-2 is in excellent condition overall and has perfect mechanics. The blued finish across the entire revolver rates at 99% with the only deductions being an extremely small handful of light handling marks and a very light turn ring on the cylinder. The bore in the 8 3/8" inch barrel is mirror-bright and pristine, as are the 6 chambers of the cylinder. The rifling is sharp and strong from the forcing cone to the crown of the muzzle. All of the factory markings are crisp and clean, and the hammer and trigger are in excellent condition. The original factory grips on this Smith are in excellent condition and are free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/damage. The S&W medallions are still intact, and both grip panels fit nicely to the frame. The action on this Model 29-2 is smooth, slick, and perfectly "in time" no matter how it is operated. The cylinder lock-up is excellent and the trigger is quite good, particularly in single-action operation where it breaks cleanly with light pressure and no excessive travel. All of the controls are in perfect working order, just like the day it left the factory back in 1980. If you have been looking for an exceptionally clean Model 29-2 to add to your collection this would be an outstanding choice. The included presentation case does need to be re-lined.
