Smith & Wesson US Army Model of 1917

Description:
Smith & Wesson US Army Model of 1917. 45ACP. 5 1/2" barrel. Reblued. Markings I can find are as follows - United States Property stamped under the barrel. The Flaming Bomb is stamped on the upper left frame in front of the hammer. The Springfield Armory crossed cannons are stamped on the upper right of the frame in front of the hammer. The lower right side of the frame is stamped with an S but no number. The back of the cylinder is stamped with the SN 145039 and an eagle head over S24. The bottom of the frame butt is stamped US Army Model of 1917 and the SN 145039. The lanyard loop and original grips are gone. The grips were replaced with Pachmayr Gripper one piece. Decent shape overall though some of the cartouches are hard to read due to the rebluing. Clean with nice rifling in the bore, though it might be a bit lead fouled. Seems to function fine. Has a little wiggle at lockup. 20250105
