Smith & Wesson Registered .357 Magnum, Pre-War Pre-Model 27, 1937 Vintage

Description:
1937 vintage S&W Registered .357 Magnum fitted with a 6 inch pinned barrel with checkered rib, pinned patridge front sight with red plastic insert, white out-line adjustable rear sight, diamond checkered walnut target grips (later version, not original to the gun), checkered top strap of the frame, serrated on both sides of hammer, "REG." prefix stamped on inside of yoke, blue finished, and chambered in .357 Magnum.  Gun is all numbers matching except for the grips:  Frame to cylinder, barrel, and crane.  This Registered .357 Magnum is in excellent, factory refinished condition, retaining 99%+ of its refinished blue finish.  The grips fit well and are in fine condition, with assorted rub/handling marks, and no chips or cracks.  The bore looks as new and the action functions perfectly.   Sorry, no box or paper-work.  Does come with a Smith & Wesson factory letter attesting to the configuration and the fact the gun was refinished by S&W in May of 1974.                                              PRICE:   $6,500              We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual Firearm,  Firearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
