Smith & Wesson Model 640 Centennial .38 Spl. Revolver

Description:
Introduced in 1991, the Smith & Wesson Model 640 Centennial features satin stainless steel construction, a 2 & 1/8ths inches barrel, and a hammerless design.  Fitted from the factory with Uncle Mike's Combat grips, this little round-butt J-frame S&W has been a popular concealed carry and personal defense gun since it was introduced.  Weighing in at 23 ounces, it has just enough heft to tame recoil but it is not too heavy to carry concealed comfortably.  This example is excellent all original condition overall and appears to have been fired very little.  As you can see in the pictures there are only a few minor handling marks visible if you look closely, but the gun still has a very clean look overall.  The original factory grips are in excellent condition.  The rubber does not show any wear or damage, and the grips are nice and tight to the frame.  The action is perfectly "in time" and the trigger pulls smoothly in the double-action only operation.  This Model 640 comes with an original blue plastic factory box that does not have an end-label or owner's manual.  If you have been looking for a superb personal defense revolver for your collection this Centennial would be a perfect choice.
