S&W .38 Safety Hammerless 3rd Model Revolver With Rare Long Barrel

Description:
Serial #84497, .38 S&W, 6" barrel with a very good bore that has some small spots of mild freckling within the grooves. This unusual revolver has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, and cylinder with the metal retaining 80-85% of the original blue finish, with the balance turned plum-brown and gray, most noticeably on the cylinder. Muted, but still visible color case-hardening is still present on the trigger, and a target front sight is installed on the barrel. The genuine mother-of-pearl grips are in fine-near excellent shape with some discoloration and tiny chips along the leading edge of both panels. The lock-up is tight and the action is fully functional. This is a neat .38 "Lemon – Squeezer", in an unusual configuration, and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
