S&W Model 27-2, 1967 mfg. w/ rare 3.5" Barrel

This is a great example of the Model 27-2. Built on Smith's N frame, it's a substantial platform for the .357Magnum/.38Special cartridges. This gun was manufactured in early 1967 with the recessed and pinned barrel in the rarer 3.5" configuration. The gun would be a pristine, mint condition piece except for three small wear areas on the gun's left side (one on the rear of the frame just above the grip/below the hammer, another at the muzzle and the last on the frame just in front of the cylinder...see pictures #2,3 and 4 for upclose detail of these minor flaws). It is my guess that the gun rested in someone's glove box (on the left side) and received this frame wear (it is not holster wear). Otherwise, the gun has a bright shiny bore and the walnut grips show virtually no handling wear...Indicating that it was probably not fired much. Overall, the gun is in Very Good Condition and would make an excellent addition to any Smith & Wesson revolver collection or for use as a self defense piece.
