Smith & Wesson Model 25-2, .45 ACP (Model 1955)
Description: Smith & Wesson Model 25-2, .45 ACP (Model 1955), double-action revolver, with a 6½-inch barrel, original target grips, target trigger (0.500 inch wide) with grooved face, target trigger (0.400 inch wide spur) with checkered spur, open adjustable rear sight, fix front sight, and a bright blue finish. The revolver has a three-screw configuration, with one screw (#3) under the stock. Based on its serial number, the year of manufacture is 1979. The only accessories are one six-round clip and four three-round moon clips. There are no box, papers, or other accessories with this revolver. Please excuse the oil smears on the metal in the photos. The overall condition of this gun is 98+ percent. The metal is near perfect, with a very light cylinder-lock scar (indicating light usage); the muzzle shows no wear. There are some very, very small dimples on the left side of the gun, just below the cylinder release lever (visible in the photos). However, these are original factory blemishes. The grips are 95 percent, with some small scratches, mars, a chip on the bottom right corner of the left grip, and some very small areas where the finish is worn through to the wood. However, the checkering is deep and crisp and show no sign of wear. See the photos of the cylinder ring and the front of the cylinder. There are no other blemishes, mars, stains, etc. anywhere else the gun. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, there are no box, accessories (other than the clips), or owner’s manual. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Please excuse the oil smears in the photos. Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($25) and insurance, if insurance is desired. I will accept a personal check, but will hold the gun until it clears. I will also accept USPS money orders which I do not have to hold, as they clear immediately. I will accept other type money orders, but will hold gun until they clear. Check or money orders must be made out to Jerry Pownall. NOTES: USPS money orders are limited to $1,000, so two USPS money orders will be required for this purchase. Cost of insurance is calculated at $4.60 for the first $300 of value, plus $1.20 for each additional $100 of value (rounded up). Insurance for the full value of this gun would require two USPS money orders, one for $1,000 and one for the balance of $300, calculated as follows: First money order: $4.60 (for first $300) + $8.40 ($1.20 X 7) = $13.00. Second money order: $3.60 ($1.20 x 3) Total cost of insurance: $13.00 + $3.60 = 16.60 SOLD |
