** SOLD ** Smith & Wesson Model 12 Airweight, Cal. .38 Special, 1975 Vintage, Nickel Finished

Description:
S&W Model 12-2 Airweight fitted with a 2 inch barrel, checkered walnut service grips with S&W medallions, built on the square butt "K" frame, is nickel finished with case hardened finished hammer & trigger, and chambered in .38 Special.  This 1975 vintage 6 shot revolver is in fine condition, retaining 92-95% original nickel finish, with assorted handling marks/chips/scuffs/surface scratches & flaking, mostly on the back-strap.  The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions well with the exception, when the gun is slow cocked, 2 cylinders do not lock-up until the trigger is squeezed, double action function is fine.  The grips, which do not number to the gun, are in good condition, have lost most of their original finishes, with assorted handling marks and chips, mostly on the right grip.  A shooter grade Model 12.     Sorry, no box or paper-work.
