This Smith & Wesson has quite a Police History during the height of prohibition. She was shipped out on February 26, 1927.
It was delivered to the H & D Folsom Arms Company, 314 Broadway, New York City. The records show it shipped with blue
finish, a 4-inch barrel a forged front sight with fixed rear sights and square butt checked walnut stocks with silver Smith & Wesson
medallions. The order was for twenty .38 M&Ps with 4-inch barrels. They were for the Rutherford New Jersey Police Department.
At some point this revolver serial #562286 was sent back to Smth & Wesson for reconfiguration as to make more concealing.
