Smith & wesson 1st .32 Safety, FIRST MODEL D.A. Hammerless, Revolver. Ser. 469XX.
Description: Inv. 5845 Smith & wesson 1st .32 Safety, FIRST MODEL D.A. Hammerless Revolver. Hammerless, Ser. 469XX. For the hyper critical S&W collector. Rare and fantastic, but not what you think. Just read on my friend. This is the very First Model, which is distinguished by the scarce and unusual latching mechanism. It opens the barrel cylinder group by pressing down on the small checkered latch in the center top of the frame. This was used one time and then discarded. Later on, S&W top break guns were switched back to the common method. To open the gun you lifted the latch. This gun appears as it did when it left the factory, the nickle finish is 99-100%. There is no nickle loss anywhere. There is only the very slightest cylinder drag ring and that's it. The high polish blued trigger guard is about 98-99%. The loss being some slight edge silvering. The trigger has some case color fading, but there is at least 75% still present. The original Mother Of Pearl grips are as perfect as the rest of the gun, with no chips or cracks anywhere. The gun locks up tight and indexes properly. The recoil shield and force cone show only the very minimum of use. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. I'll venture to say the gun has seen less than a dozen rounds through it and then became an Attic Queen for the last 100 years or so, at least that's what the estate said. Rare and in awesome condition, certainly a center piece for the particular collector......$1295 To purchase this firearm or if you want to request more information contact us at: Email ckgunsymail Phone 201-512-0002 Cell 201-575-6838 FAX 201-215-4759 We accept most major credit cards.
