EXHIBITION GRADE ENGRAVED SMITH & WESSON No. 1 SECOND ISSUE 22 CALIBER REVOLVER WITH GOLD
Description:
3-3/16 inch octagon barrel chambered in 22 Short caliber. 7 shot spur trigger revolver. Gun is fitted in an original S & W Gutta Percha case. It has a picture of a Smith & Wesson on the lid. Inside lining is good with just some indentation where the gun sits. This revolver is delicately engraved on both sides of the receiver. There is a gold outline on each side of the rear barrel.. Rosewood grips are in fine condition. Frame retains about 10% of a silver finish with the balance showing a nice brass patina. The barrel appears to have been refinished some time ago and looks good. Sharp corners and good markings. An interesting little Smith. I have seen very few of these over the years. They are quite a show piece.
