Antique Smith & Wesson 38 DA 1st Model Revolver
Description:
I'm selling my collection. A Scarce Smith & Wesson .38 First Model & Issue, made in 1880 it qualifies as an Antique pre-Dec 3. 1898, no need FFL for transfer, total quantity of about 4,000, .38 S&W caliber, 5 shot fluted cylinder clean chamber. 4" round ribbed barrel with a very good shinning bore with sharp rifling. The metal surfaces of this early .38 DA retain 65-70% of its original nickel platted finish with the balance flaking to a mild gunmetal light grey patina that is blending with the surrounding nickel. The trigger guard has kept most of its blue finish, the trigger & hammer retain an healthy amount of vibrant case-hardened color. Original mottled black and red hard rubber grip grips remain in very fine condition. Serial number is matching on all different parts. I haven't shot it, the action and the cylinder timing function very well. It was well kept and preserved. Very collectible & good example these scarce First Model revolvers. The old ammunitions showed on one the picture are not sor sale. $1,175 + $50 insured shipping to your door if you are over 21, payable by cashier check, P.M.O or credit card.
