1st Swing Out Cylinder S&W HAND EJECTOR Revolver
Description: 1st Swingout Cylinder S&W HAND EJECTOR Revolver Father of the Modern SMITH & WESSON Revolver Here we present a Smith & Wesson .32 Hand Ejector First Model Double Action Revolver, made circa 1899 in Springfield, Massachusetts. This revolver was S&W’s first revolver to feature the swingout cylinder and the plunger ejector. Only 19,712 were made in total. It featured a double action mechanism with the ability to shoot in single action. Some unique attributes accompanied the First Model, which were the cylinder stop in the top strap, as well as the rear sight being included in the front of the cylinder stop in the middle of the top strap. The rear sight is mounted there as the rear sight would move the most during the double action trigger pull if mounted at the rearmost portion. The overall condition is good. There is original blue finish remaining in the protected areas such as under the barrel rib, around the recoil shield and the grips. The markings are clear and legible. Instead of being on the top of the barrel, the company name and patent information is nicely stamped on each chamber of the cylinder. Grips are worn a bit smooth and the left grip is a bit chipped and cracked. The bore is very good and the action only works in single action mode. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4-1/4 inches in length. Caliber: 32 S&W Long The bore is in very good condition and the firing mechanism is functional only in single action. Overall condition as seen in photos. Own the father of the modern Smith & Wesson revolver. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $650 #21728 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
