Ruger Old Army Stainless Steel Revolver in .45 Caliber
Description: This one of the first made of the stainless steel Old Army .45 caliber revolvers. It has been well cared for. It is a "200th year of American Liberty" and was made in 1974, the first of the Stainless Steel Old Army's and has a FOUR digit serial number. I have had Blued Old Army's with four digit serial numbers and this is the only SS model I have seen with these unusual numbers. It has a 7 1/2 inch barrel with a bright shiny bore. These guns use a .457 caliber ball or bullet. There has never been a stronger or better designed percussion revolver ever made. It is a shame that they are no longer made. These guns have a projection on the front of the cylinder that prevents fowling entering the cylinder around the cylinder pin allowing one to shoot many cylinder loads before cleaning. All other percussion revolvers do not have this feature and you can rarely shoot more that three cylinder loads without cleaning. This is one of the first of the stainless steel Old Army revolvers. Included is the original box numbered to the gun, the nipple wrench, wax paper wrap. manual and original price tag. A once in a life time find. Classed as Antique, no paperwork in most areas. $40.00 shipping via Priority Mail Price: $1,700.00 Buy Now Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
