Description:
This is a very lightly-used Ruger Super Redhawk double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .454 Casull.  It features the sought-after "Target Gray" factory finish, a 9.5" inch barrel with adjustable target-style sights, integral scope bases in the top strap of the frame, a 6-shot unfluted cylinder, and factory black rubber grips with gray laminate wood inserts.  The Super Redhawk was first introduced in 1987 as the firm's top-of-the-line double-action revolver.  They were designed to be extremely strong, reliable, and accurate.  The Ruger Super Redhawk was a success and quickly earned a reputation for extreme reliability and excellent accuracy with both shooters and hunters alike.  Their stainless steel construction made them the perfect choice for hunters in areas with harsh weather, and the magnum chamberings gave them the power to take down any dangerous game in North America.  The Super Redhawk remains in production even today, with a production run spanning over 33 years.  This particular example was manufactured in 2001, the first year that this Target Gray finish was offered (Target Gray was discontinued in 2009).  It is in excellent condition overall, both inside and out.  The factory Target Gray finish rates 98%, with just a couple of tiny handling marks only visible under close inspection.  The 9.5" inch barrel has a mirror-bright and pristine bore, free from any damage or erosion.  The six cylinder chambers are equally as clean and free from imperfections.  The factory rubber grips with laminate wood inserts are in like-new condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or visible wear.  The action in this Ruger is super smooth, precise, and perfectly "in time" whether it is worked fast or slow, double-action or single-action.  At full-lock there is zero felt play or wiggle in the cylinder.  The trigger pull is smooth and linear, free from any grittiness or excessive over-travel.  The trigger is particularly good in single-action operation, breaking crisply with a light pull.  All of the controls on this Super Redhawk are in perfect working order, including the adjustable rear sight.  The .454 Casull chambering gives you the ability to fire full power loads for hunting or self-defense and light .45 Colt loads for target practice or plinking.  As mentioned in the title, this Ruger comes complete with it's original serial numbered box, owner's manual, lock, and shipping bag.  If you have been looking for a cool big-bore revolver for your collection that can serve as both a shooter AND a long-term investment, this "Target Gray" Ruger Super Redhawk would be an excellent choice.
