Description:
Presented here is a Ruger New Model Blackhawk single action revolver chambered in the classic .45 Colt caliber. The New Model Blackhawk was introduced in 1973.The New Model uses a transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock provide an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge. The New Model action allows the shooter to safely load all 6 chambers without the need to rest the hammer on an empty chamber. The New Model cylinder can be turned without pulling the hammer back to the half cocked position....merely opening the loading gate allows the cylinder to turned for loading. This particular example is iin outstanding physical and mechanical condition exhibiting the lightest of turn rings on the cylinder. The grip panes are free of cracks or chips and are basically mint. The 7 1/2 inch barrel has a minty bore with very strong rifling. Sights are an adjustable rear and ramp front. Makers box, manual and gun lock are included.
