It was later discovered that the cutting stopped at a certain point and that the gun was not damaged enough to present a safety issue. Regardless, Ruger stopped production and destroyed the recalled guns making this one a collectable. This gun is versatile in that it will shoot 38 Special, 357 magnum and 357 maximum cartridges. This gun has been shot and shows a cylinder ring and handling marks. There is faint holster wear at the left muzzle that is little greater than sharp edge wear. The high-polished, blue on this gun is deep and lustrous. Gun rates about excellent; box and manual rate good to very good - showing storage wear.
