1971 Vintage 3-Screw Ruger Blackhawk Convertible Revolver w/ .357 Magnum & 9mm Cylinders ** All-Original & Un-Modified 4 & 5/8ths" Gun ** SOLD

Description:
This is a very nice all-original and un-modified "Old Model" 3-screw Ruger Blackhawk convertible with both a .357 Magnum and 9mm Luger cylinder.  It has been fired, but very little from it's appearance and has obviously been well-cared for.  The original high-gloss blue finish is bright and beautiful, rating 97% with the only deductions coming from some tiny little handling/storage marks, light halos around the cylinder chambers, and a very faint drag-line around the cylinder.  As you can see from the pictures, there are no bad spots or eyesores that detract from the clean overall look of this Ruger.  The black finish on the alloy grip frame and triggerguard is also in excellent condition, rating 98% with just a few tiny little marks on the butt.  The bore in this Blackhawk is mirror-bright and pristine, with sharp, well-defined rifling throughout the 4 & 5/8ths" barrel, and with no pitting or visible imperfections.  The cylinder chambers are equally as clean and free from any damage in both cylinders.  The factory glossy Walnut grips on this vintage Blackhawk are beautiful, showing a nice dark red-brown with no cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/dents.  Both grips are perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the metal with no wiggle.  The action on this revolver is butter-smooth and perfectly "in time" when worked at any speed.  All of the controls are in perfect working order, including the adjustable rear sight.  This Ruger Blackhawk should shoot just as reliably and accurately as the day it left the factory 49 years ago.  As mentioned previously, this 3-screw frame Blackhawk is totally original and has never been back to the factory for the transfer bar modification.  If you have been looking for a collectible "Old Model" Convertible Blackhawk for your collection that you can enjoy as both a shooter and an investment, this 1971 example would be a superb choice.
