Remington New Model Army 1858 44 cal. percussion 8" Bl. Civil War
Description: 1861 Remington New Model Army military issue, (Civil War period) 44 cal. percussion, 8" octagon, gray/brown freckled patina. Action is good. Inspector marks on barrel, trigger guard, frame. Serial number #122567 on frame and trigger guard. Good original walnut grips. Possible very faint cartouche on left panel. Barrel serial number has been removed and 61627 remarked (?) Cylinder number is different but original to the period. Proper and clear patent date and address on top of barrel. Hammer and loading are might be period replacements. Bore is very good. Overall a nice example of a Civil War revolver in good working and collectable condition. Ask question.
