Remington Model 1875
Description: Remington Model 1875 with "44" Caliber stamped on the left side of the frame and batch number "746" stamped on right side of the butt beneath the grip and on the inside of the loading gate. "746" is written in pencil on The inside of both grips as well. All of the visible batch numbers match. The top of the barrel is stamped "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILLION. N.Y. U.S.A." in one line. The revolver has two piece, varnished walnut grips. The front sight is the full, high, Second Model type and is untouched. Remington manufactured 25,000 - 30,000 Model 1875 Single Action Revolvers Between 1875 and 1889. This particular Revolver is in excellent condition retaining 95% plus of the original nickel plated finish which shows only very limited wear with a few scattered age spots and some flaking on the leading edge of the cylinder. The inside of the top strap and rear face of the recoil shield have some finish loss. The grips are in excellent condition and retain most of the original varnish with a few minor handling marks. The barrel legend, caliber markings and batch numbers are sharp. The action is tight and functions well. I've sold several of these Remington Model 1875 revolvers recently and this excellent example is by far the best one I've offered to date, retaining nearly all of the factory original finish. Price includes Shipping and Insurance. Three day non firing inspection Privilege. Should you decide to return the revolver, you are responsible for return shipping and insurance Costs. This Remington Model 1875 is an antique and can ship directly to you, upon receipt of proof that you are 21 years of age or older, except in areas where Prohibited. No shipping to N.Y or N.J.
